God's
Plan of Salvation
Understanding and
personally acknowledging the verses below will assure you of your salvation.
God wants you to know that you must be saved and instructs you how to be
saved.
Follow the verses below and you will understand why and how to be saved.
Romans 3:23
"For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
We all
have sin in our hearts. We all were born with sin. We were born under
the power of sin's control.
Admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 6:23a
"...For the wages of sin is death..."
Sin has
an ending. It results in death. We all face physical death, which is a
result of sin.
But a
worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last
for all eternity.
The
Bible does plainly teach that there is a place called the Lake of Fire
where lost people will be in torment forever.
It is
the place where people end up that remain spiritually dead.
Understand that you deserve death for your sin.
Romans 6:23b
"...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Salvation is a free gift from God to you! We can't earn this gift, but
we must reach out and receive it.
Ask
God to forgive you and save you.
Romans 5:8
"But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us."
When
Jesus died on the cross He paid sin's penalty. He paid the cosmic price
for all sin, and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on
the cross, He bought us out of slavery to sin and death! The only
condition is that we believe in Him and what He has done for us,
understanding that we are now joined with Him, and that He is our life.
Because
He loved us and gave Himself for us!
Give
your life to God... His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your
only hope to have forgiveness and change. His love bought you out
of being a slave to sin. His love is what saves you. Not
religion, or church membership.
God
loves you! And reaches you right where you are.
Romans 10:13
"For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!"
Call
out to God in the name of Jesus!
Romans 10:9,10
"That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
If
you know that God is knocking on your heart door,
ask
Him to come into your heart.
Jesus said,
Revelation 3:20
"Behold, I stand at the
door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will
come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
Is
Jesus knocking on your heart's door? Then answer the call...and
don't delay
Hebrews 3:15
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not
your hearts, as in the provocation.
Believe in Him. Ask Him to come in to your heart by faith, and ask Him
to reveal Himself to you. Open the bible to the gospel of John and read
what God says about Jesus, about you, and about being born again.
God will help you.
Just talk to Him. He loves you.
Salvation Prayer - The Simple
Steps:
1. Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
3. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days
later.
4. Repent of your sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus.
Salvation Prayer - Merely a
Tool to Communicate Our Faith
The Salvation Prayer is not a ritual based on specific words. This is
not the power of a prayer, but the power of truly committing our lives
to Christ as Savior and Lord. The following is merely a guideline for
our sincere step of faith:
"God, I recognize that I
have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for
myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my
life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in
giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to
receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through
this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my
heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward,
I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please
myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days
are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name.
Amen."
If you decided to repent of your sins and
receive Christ today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to grow
closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.
- Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
- Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
- Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long
period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and
reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your
understanding of the Bible.
- Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group
of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
- Find a local church where you can worship God.
1 John 5:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
12He that hath the Son hath
life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name
of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of
God.
